Buzzfeed recently published a compilation of hilarious moments when old(er) people misuse the "Face with Tears of Joy" (😂) emoji. According to wikipedia, 😂 is the most commonly used emoji across all of the major social media websites such as Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram.

However, just because 😂's used a lot, doesn't mean 😂's used properly. For many people over the age of 30, it's nothing more than just a normal old crying face, which makes for some great "old people of facebook" content. Below are a few of my personal favorites:
