Boston: Woke churches demand "white churches" help blacks get $15 billion in reparations to help with "trauma" of slave-trade that ended in 1783

Slavery has been illegal in Massachusetts since 1783. A full generation before that in the 1750s, slaves were 2.2% of the population.

Fast forward 250 years later and we have this:

If you're wondering, that's the sound of the 8th, 9th, and 10th Commandments being broken (along with the 3rd Commandment not to take God's name in vain).

More:

"We point to them in Christian love to publicly atone for the sins of slavery and we ask them to publicly commit to a process of reparations where they will extend their great wealth โ€” tens of millions of dollars among some of those churches โ€” into the Black community," said Peterson.

Ah, yes, the Christian principle of stealing public money to pay the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandkids of the 2.2% of the population that was enslaved two and a half centuries ago.

(Except most black Bostonians have no connection to the few black slaves in Massachusetts 250-300 years ago).

Rev. John E. Gibbons of Arlington Street Church said that a number of churches in the area have begun researching their history and discuss reparations, but more work needed to be done.

"That is not enough," said Gibbons. "Somehow we need to move with some urgency toward action and so part of what we're doing is to prod and encourage white churches to go beyond what they have done thus far."

Yeah, they want $15 billion from the city for reparations, and they are holding out their "brothers in Christ" as a source for this cash.

He's literally saying, "Boston, you owe us money for being racist and we know where you can find millions of it. Just ask the guilty white liberal churches for the cash."

Nothing says brotherly love and charity like threatening Christians of another race and demanding they pay you money because you look vaguely like a few bad guys from 250 years ago. That's definitely the heart of the gospel right there!

"We call sincerely and with a heart filled with faith and Christian love for our white churches to join us and not be silent around this issue of racism and slavery and commit to reparations," Rev. Kevin Peterson said.

It's fringe and ridiculous today. But it's a real battle that will have to be fought tomorrow. If your church gave an inch to the BLM madness in 2020, expect this to be the next fight.

But I have an idea about how the non-crazy churches can respond.

Dig up all the generational trauma you can muster (gracefully) and start jokingly demanding reparations for them to showcase how clownish these guys look.

Then, with speech that is seasoned with salt, and without haughtiness, explain how bankrupting the city of Boston to pay for sins committed hundreds of years before anyone today was born will hurt millions of people and is actually an affront to God and His justice.

You know ... I had an ancestor sold into slavery two hundred years ago. He was white but was captured and sold off. He escaped after a number of years but I was never given reparations.

I suddenly feel traumatized! Where's my payout??
