Breaking news: Apparently we only have 1028 days left to save the world or something

Big news out of France today with the revelation that we have very little time left to...well, I'm not sure. Something.

The French Open men's semifinal match between Casper Ruud and Milan Cilic was delayed Friday after an environmental protester tied her neck to the net.

The match was delayed 13 minutes during the third set when a woman wearing a white T-shirt with the words "We have 1028 days left" ran onto the court at Phillippe Chatrier and appeared to attach herself to the net using metal wires and glue.

Hmm. Back-of-the-envelope, 1028 days is...what, three years? Multiply 365 by three and that's...okay, 1095 days. So we've got two years and some change until...

Well, again, something. I'm not sure. No idea, really. But something is going to happen in 1028 days, right?

Does anyone have like a med school graduation that year or something? Is it something like that?

Or like, a big family reunion? Is that it?

Or is it...oh, it's the climate thing, isn't it?

The women wore a shirt saying "We have 1028 days left." The shirt represents a climate change activism group in France called "Dernière Rénovation." The project began on March 28 of this year, and its hope is to better the climate in the next three to four years.

Okay well keep gluing yourself to tennis nets, folks, I'm sure that'll help the climate!
