BREAKING: To all five of you still wearing masks inside your home, the WHO says Covid is no longer an emergency!

We did it! The crisis is over!

Just think: It feels like only yesterday that the World Health Organization was covering for their Chinese overlords to hide the fact that this US-funded gain-of-function virus escaped from their virology institute in Wuhan. The WHO waited weeks – months even! – to let anyone in on the knowledge that a genetically altered novel virus was about to spread worldwide.

But now, dear friends, a mere 3 years and a few weeks into 15 days to slow to spread, our betters at the WHO have finally declared that the Covid emergency is over.

"It's with great hope that I declare COVID-19 over as a global health emergency," WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.

...

WHO made its decision to lower its highest level of alert on Friday, after convening an expert group on Thursday. The U.N. agency doesn't "declare" pandemics, but first used the term to describe the outbreak in March 2020, when the virus had spread to every continent except Antarctica, long after many other scientists had said a pandemic was already underway.

You can now take off your double masks that you wear to kiss your wife, remove that air-filtering bubble you tie 'round your head every time you go for a walk outside, and say hello to your neighbors again.

Don't worry if it seems like most of your neighbors stopped caring about the pandemic about 2 years ago. That's probably just an illusion caused by your reintroduction to sunlight.

Heck, if you're feeling really brave, you can get your next Covid booster without a mask!

WOW! Live on the wild side, my friends!

"That does not mean COVID-19 is over as a global health threat," he said, adding he wouldn't hesitate to reconvene experts to reassess the situation should COVID-19 "put our world in peril."

Translation: Keep that TV tuned to our superiors in case the WHO wants you to hide in your home for three years again!
