Remember how Englishmen used to be able to own firearms?

[Laughs in American]

Before 1914, there were essentially no firearms regulations in the United Kingdom, outside of pistols under 9 inches (The Pistols Act of 1903). The Firearms Act of 1920 introduced "Firearm Certificates" that banned automatic guns and required citizens to have "good reason" for purchases.

Under the Firearms Act of 1937, the minimum age for gun purchases was raised to 17. Self-defense claims in cities became more narrowly defined. In 1968, laws were tightened further, including the requirement of government permission to buy shotguns and a ban on pepper spray.

After a mass shooting in 1987, modern sporting rifles like the AR-15 platform were banned. After another mass shooting in 1996, all handguns with calibers larger than .22 were banned.

Since then, the United Kingdom has passed more and more regulations, but it has also imported mass numbers of migrants from foreign cultures at the same time, leading to a skyrocketing rise in rape, human trafficking, and stabbings.

Oh, and Brits get arrested if they say something the government deems offensive.

Those memes aren't jokes. This is really happening!

Pray for Great Britain! 😭
