After noticing that a license plate looked a little bit unusual, a California Highway Patrol officer pulled over a driver who had apparently misplaced their real license plate and decided to get crafty to remedy the situation.
CHP Merced shared a photo of the handmade license plate on social media, commending the driver's creativity, while warning others not to follow their example.

To be fair, the driver seemed to have good intentions (although I seriously hope the CHP checked their story because my first instinct is to assume their license plate number is totally made up.)
Also, they have excellent handwriting and even wrote "California" in cursive, which is commendable, given how few people even know how to write in cursive anymore.

Common sense may be lacking, but creativity, good handwriting, and initiative are all excellent life skills.
This person is really going places (well, not via California's highways).
