I guess someone at Cambridge missed the memo about never negotiating with terrorists.
A pro-Palestinian camp has occupied the King's Parade area of the university for three months.
King's Parade is a highly touristic area with massive foot traffic in front of the historic King's College gates and chapel, built in 1446. On the other side of the street is the Corpus Clock, one of Cambridge's famous tourist attractions.
Here's a video:
There are ways to fix problems like this, as seen on several American universities.
But instead of removing the "protesters" occupying their space, Cambridge has kowtowed to the terrorists' demands.
Here's a list of the university's concessions.
Reviewing investments that might fund defense companies
Give Palestinian students free tuition, room, and board.
Import more Palestinian scholars with paid fellowships.
Create grants for Palestinian research.
Invite a student task force to help oversee the university's Palestinian commitments.
The "protestors" response demonstrates why you should never negotiate with terrorists, whether Hamas or leftie college students.
THESE INITIATIVES ARE A FIRST STEP BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE: THEY ARE NOT ENOUGH. WE REMAIN DISSATISFIED WITH THE UNIVERSITY'S FAILURE TO PROMPTLY EXECUTE A COMPREHENSIVE DISCLOSURE AND DIVESTMENT EFFORT AND ITS REFUSAL TO REFERENCE WAR CRIMES, CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY, AND VIOLATIONS OF INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN AND HUMAN RIGHTS LAW ...
WE ARE STEADFAST IN OUR RESOLVE AND WILL PERSIST IN MOBILISING FOR THE CAUSE.
(Yes, it's all caps. They're probably dictating to their typist with a bullhorn.)
Of course the university's concessions weren't enough.
Even if the Gaza war ended tomorrow, the students would move on to the next protest.
The end goal is revolution, but even then they'd protest when it was over, which is exactly why Stalin executed the Great Purge in 1938, and every communist leader since then has followed his example.
With commies, nothing is ever enough except complete control.
Useful idiots are only useful until the revolution is over, and then they're a liability. It would be better for them in the long run to nip their protests in the bud now.
If Cambridge needs help doing it, there are some American frat boys available for a study abroad!
