Elbows up, Canada!
That's right: The Canadian whiskey company is moving more of its operations to the U.S. to better help its "supply chain network."
The company said it will still maintain a 'significant' footprint in Canada — including its headquarters and warehouse operations in the Greater Toronto Area, and bottling and distillation facilities in Manitoba and Quebec.
McIntosh added the company's Crown Royal products will continue to be mashed, distilled and aged at its Canadian facilities.
200 jobs will be affected.
Meanwhile, Ontario Premiere Doug Ford said Wednesday that bans on U.S. alcohol will continue as retaliation for the Trump administration's tariffs.
It's still going to be banned until they cut the tariffs or we make a deal with them. It's not coming on our shelves.
