That's right. Captain James Tiberius Kirk is about to boldly go where no man has gone before.
Or, at least where no man named "William Shatner" has gone before!
Shatner, who played the iconic "Star Trek" captain, is 90 years old.
NINETY!
And he's going into space on the next voyage of Blue Origin New Shepard rocket in October, thanks to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Shatner will be the oldest person to ever visit space... that is, if any genetically enhanced supervillains named Khan don't show up to take Shatner down.
Bezos recently took 82-year-old Wally Funk (a female NASA astronaut trainee) with him into space, and astronaut John Glenn also visited space at age 77... but as you may have realized, those two were trained in the ways of space travel.
I guess we'll have to see how much of Kirk really resides in Shatner.
Just in case though, we better have Bones on standby!
