CBS ran this segment over the weekend arguing we should eat bugs because soybean farming is bad for the planet or something 🥴

Why do they want you to eat the bugs so bad?

Um... okay?

CBS Reporter Tina Kraus seriously went out there brought up the point that we need to eat bugs because we're growing too much soy – which has become wildly popular as a protein source in "health" trends – but soy requires quite a bit of land and has resulted in deforestation in countries like Brazil.

Then she brought on a creepy guy with a German accent, lit by glowing green vats of creepy crawlies, to tell us why we need to eat ze bugs.

So here's your choice:

Massive industrial farms filled with crawling insects and sprawling labs that grow meat from stem cells in order to replace the soyboy veggie options that are devastating the environment...

Or delicious, natural meat from your local farmer/butcher?

Seems like an easy choice for me.

Oh, and about all these new "save-the-planet" food trends...
