CDC plans study into vaccines and their possible link to autism

Autism rates are soaring like one of Elon's SpaceX rockets.

We previously reported on this here:

"...autism rates are rising at an accelerating rate in the United States, with 1 in 36 American 8-year-olds (2.8%) now being diagnosed with the disorder.

This figure is significantly higher than the 1 in 44 (2.3%) rate reported in 2021 and over three times the 1 in 150 (0.7%) rate reported in 2005."

Reuters noted, in regard to claims that rigorous vaccine scheduling for children has something to do with this spike:

Many researchers attribute the rise in diagnoses to more widespread screening and the inclusion of a broader range of behaviors to describe the condition. But some public figures have popularized the idea that vaccines are to blame, an idea stemming from a since-debunked study from British researcher Andrew Wakefield in the late 1990s that connected a rise in autism diagnoses with widespread use of the MMR shot.

The causes of autism are unclear. No rigorous studies have found links between autism and vaccines or medications, or their components such as thimerosal or formaldehyde.

Nonetheless, the CDC, under RFK's control, has now revealed big plans to further investigate the potential connection between vaccines and rising autism rates (a conversation that is always fun to discuss at family parties).

One thing is certain: all of us, who were alive just a couple years ago, know how reliable the "science" can be regarding vaccines (heavy sarcasm alert).

Thankfully, President Trump, in his oh-so-entertaining address to Congress, noted this rising concern in autism rates, and his commitment to finally get some answers.

So, we're going to find out what it is, and there's nobody better than Bobby and all of the people that are working with you.

This comes on the heels of one of the largest measles outbreaks the U.S. has seen in the last 10 years, with 150 cases thus far and 2 deaths reported. Critics have targeted RFK Jr. in response, claiming his "anti-vaccine" stance has talked people out of getting crucial preventative treatments, even though he promoted the measles shot in a Fox News op-ed.

In response to this outbreak, I have directed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) to work closely with the Texas health authorities to provide comprehensive support. HHS' efforts include offering technical assistance, laboratory support, vaccines, and therapeutic medications as needed. The CDC is in continuous communication with Texas health officials, ensuring a coordinated and effective response to contain the outbreak. I have spoken with Gov. Greg Abbott and Texas health officials, committing to providing them any additional support they need to bring this outbreak to an end. I have also spoken to the bereaved parents of the deceased child to offer consolation.

It is also our responsibility to provide up-to-date guidance on available therapeutic medications. While there is no approved antiviral for those who may be infected, CDC has recently updated their recommendation supporting administration of vitamin A under the supervision of a physician for those with mild, moderate, and severe infection. Studies have found that vitamin A can dramatically reduce measles mortality.

Parents play a pivotal role in safeguarding their children's health. All parents should consult with their healthcare providers to understand their options to get the MMR vaccine. The decision to vaccinate is a personal one. Vaccines not only protect individual children from measles, but also contribute to community immunity, protecting those who are unable to be vaccinated due to medical reasons.

At the end of the day, I think we can all rejoice in the fact that we have an administration who's at least willing to take an honest look into growing health concerns troubling everyday Americans, especially when it affects children.
