CNN's Chairman and CEO Chris Licht is out after just one year at the reins of the far-left network.

The news comes after a revolt at CNN for hosting Donald Trump for a Republican Townhall last month and a majorly embarrassing profile of Licht appeared in The Atlantic last week.

On Monday, Licht sent an apology letter to his staff on Monday, but on Wednesday morning CNN confirmed that Licht had left the network.

CNN ratings, outside of the recent Trump town hall event, have been abysmal as the company continues to shuffle its lineup. The network also shuttered its short-lived CNN+ subscription product on Licht's watch.
