Every now and then, a feel-good story comes out of Hollywood.
The New York Post reported that Lola Sheen, daughter of celebrities Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, was baptized earlier this month as a public profession of her faith in Jesus Christ.
Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards' daughter, Lola Sheen, said that she was baptized earlier this month after facing a challenging time in her life.
The 19-year-old, who is the younger of two daughters the exes have, told her social media followers Wednesday that her 'deep depression' led her to hit 'rock bottom.'
The product of a tumultuous marriage, Lola has obviously experienced a lot in her relatively young life, eventually leading to her suffering from crippling anxiety.
(Having Charlie Sheen for a father will do that.)
'I felt so lost and hopeless, and was just doing my best to make it to the next day,' Lola posted on Instagram.
'I just accepted my life was going to be like that forever, and thought I would never genuinely laugh again. Until, I met not only my Savior but my best friend, Jesus.'
'Jesus saved me from battling severe anxiety, and gave me a peace that makes no sense. I now find myself laughing again, in places I only had cried.'
'Jesus fulfilled His promise of making me new, and completely renewed my mind. Jesus is the only reason why I'm here today and made my life worth living.'
Wonderful things to hear from a young woman who has probably seen, heard, and done things most people her age wouldn't imagine.
God is good.
