Remember how Congress passed that bUiLd bAcK bEttEr infrastructure bill that was supposed to overhaul all our aging roads and bridges?
I haven't seen a lot of rebuilt things, but I have seen a lot of politicians getting richer.
Anyway, this was the Pine Island bridge and road a few days ago:
And this is the bridge and road now:
A bunch of BlueAnon lefties are out there today calling "DeathSantis" literally Hitler for taking the credit for rebuilding a road and fixing a bridge.
Except he never took credit. He simply celebrated his fellow Floridians who are getting the job done.
"But a local company did all the work!" they cry.
Yeah, that just proves that government oversight is largely a waste and that when you empower people to use their resources and skills without the burden of bureaucratic red tape, stuff gets done. Thanks for proving that the conservative ideals of the free market and small government are on point!!
"But the bridge was mostly fine anyway!"
Okay, I'd like to see you backfill a washed out road, clean up debris, perform engineering diagnostics on a bridge that was just hit by a hurricane, manage the logistics mere days after said hurricane, and do it all in half a week with the 5,972 government permits needed to do any gosh darn thing these days.
The point is, Ronny D isn't out there taking credit for everything like a dictator or blaming the crisis on his opponents and climate change. He's simply using his authority to make sure the right people get to the right place and then releasing them to Git-R-Done. He recognizes his role, wields power responsibly, and doesn't overstep it. That's what an actual leader in a free country does.
Props to Florida for being a real civilization.
The rest of us will be over here waiting for government contractors to fill that pothole that was supposed to be fixed in 1998!
