This seems to be quite the trend these days!
Vice President Mike Pence informed Congress Tuesday that he discovered documents bearing classified markings in his Carmel, Indiana, home on Jan. 16 from his time as vice president.
Following the revelations that classified documents from President Biden's tenure as vice president were found at the Penn Biden Center think tank and Wilmington, Delaware, the vice president's team conducted searches of Pence's Indiana home and the office of his political advocacy group, Advancing American Freedom.
Can you imagine the relief Biden must feel that the newest classified docs weren't found in his garage next to Hunter's bedroom??
There were apparently two small boxes with documents that Pence's staff turned over to the FBI on January 19 while Pence was in DC for the annual March for life.
Pence's team said that although the documents bear classified markings, the Department of Justice or the agency that issues the documents will need to make a final determination on whether the documents are considered classified or not.
I have a feeling there's a lot more classified docs just floating around out there, but I'm not sure if we want to know how many.
It probably wasn't a good idea for Pence to give that interview to CNN last fall when the media was trying to destroy Trump for the classified docs at his home:
To be fair (and this is important), it could be that these were shipped to Pence unknowingly after he left the White House.
