Rodney Holbrook, a retired postman and hobby wildlife photographer from Wales, said that he first noticed the mysterious tidying happening about two months ago.
At first I noticed that some food that I was putting out for the birds was ending up in some old shoes I was storing in the shed.
But over time, more than birdseed was being moved around each night.
Holbrook said he would find that miscellaneous items he left out on his workbench would be placed in a box when he returned in the morning.
After this went on for some time, he decided to set up a night vision camera to see who the mystery neat freak was.

The avid wildlife photographer said he wasn't too surprised to see who the culprit was. He's since given him the nickname the Welsh Tidy Mouse. Holbrook said that he likes to experiment with leaving different things out to see how strong the mouse is.
So far, Tidy Mouse has always been up to the challenge, cleaning whatever is left out for him - nuts, bolts, and pieces of string.
Holbrook doesn't seem to mind the arrangement with his shed-dwelling mouse, saying,
I don't bother to tidy up now, I leave things out of the box and they put it back in its place by the morning. I think he would tidy my wife away if I left her in there.
