This 50-year-old man chain-smoked his way through an entire marathon in under three and a half hours.
What's your excuse?
Nicknamed Uncle Chen, this legend placed 574th out of 1,500 runners in Jiande, China, on November 6.
Even while inhaling toxins for hours, he managed to finish the marathon with an impressive 3:28 time.
His unusual accessory went viral, but this wasn't the first time he was out there looking a lot cooler than the other runners.
Chen was photographed with a lit cigarette at the Guangzhou Marathon in 2018 and again in 2019 at the Xiamen Marathon.
Chen doesn't seem to be slowed down by his filthy habit – he is actually an ultramarathoner who's run distances of 50km in 12 hours.
Yes, smoking is bad.
And yes, that must have sucked for the other runners.
But according to Canadian Running Magazine, there are "technically" no rules banning smoking during these marathons.
Canadian Running Magazine reported:
No word on how Uncle Chen celebrated the accomplishment ... but we have an idea.
