In the performance, Smith sported a red leather outfit with horns sprouting from a top hat, while Petras danced in a cage surrounded by fire and backup dancers dressed as devils.
It apparently wasn't bloody or graphic enough for the Satan club.
The reality is that most satanists aren't the literal-demon-worshipping neo-pagans who are into witchcraft and the occult.
The idea of Western satanism is that you reject all morality and supernatural authority and declare yourself a god. It is essentially atheism and narcissist angst wedded together with clever marketing that's meant to provoke people.
Satanist-Supreme Harris actually told TMZ that Lil Nas X's song "Montero" โ where the gay singer descends into hell to murder the devil and steal his crown โ is actually more in line with satanists' beliefs.
