Well, they believe if we don't stop using oil, civilization is going to collapse because of climate change, and since the gays and transvestites are "marginalized" groups celebrated by the rich and powerful with their own holy month, they'll be hurt the worst.

Amazing. What a solution to the problems of their own imaginations.

See, my approach would be to 1) stop celebrating people's bedroom kinks with public parades and 2) invest in next-gen energy tech (especially nuclear) so we can discover new ways to steward the environment without plunging billions of people into starvation and death, but I guess I'm just old-fashioned!
