Clorox recalls cleaning products because they may contain harmful bacteria. Huh?
· Oct 26, 2022 · NottheBee.com

I've always been of the understanding that cleaning products removed things like bacteria from surfaces.

Now, the Clorox Company is recalling several of its multi-surface cleaners and all-purpose cleaners because they may contain a harmful bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa to be exact.

So if you were planning on cleaning anything today, you can take the day off.

The recall includes the following cleaners according to Consumer Product Safety Commission:

Pine-Sol® Scented Multi-Surface Cleaners in Lavender Clean®, Sparkling Wave®, and Lemon Fresh scents, CloroxPro® Pine-Sol® All Purpose Cleaners, in Lavender Clean®, Sparkling Wave®, Lemon Fresh, and Orange Energy® scents, and Clorox® Professional™ Pine-Sol® Lemon Fresh Cleaners.

Regular Pine-sol is an actual disinfectant that kills bacteria, so it's still okay.

The products listed above may contain the bacteria if they were manufactured between January 2021 and September 2022 with date codes beginning with the prefix "A4" and followed by a five-digit number less than 22249.

If you have any of these products, take a picture of the 12 digit UPC code and the date code then contact Pine-Sol for a full refund of the purchase price with receipt, or the manufacturer's suggested retail price without receipt.

Pine-Sol toll-free at (855) 378-4982, by email at [email protected], or online at pinesolrecall.com and Pinesol.com by clicking on "Recall Information."
