You don't hate journalists enough. You think you do, but you don't.

Our mainstream media lies, all the time. And they were absolutely trying to do that here.

Because Vance didn't just flippantly say that school shootings are a "fact of life." In fact, he almost said the exact opposite:

"I don't like that this is a fact of life."

Vance did not blithely dismiss school shootings as some unalterable law of life; he rather said we should work as hard as we can to change this awful phenomenon.

The AP, of course, ran with it, but apparently they were sufficiently overcome with shame to quickly delete it:

The fake-news propagandists are the worst.
