Costco is the place where you can truly get everything. Everything, that is, except baby-killer pills.

From WaPo:

Costco will not dispense a key abortion pill at its pharmacies, a long-awaited win for conservatives trying to limit access to medication abortion.

For more than a year, Costco deliberated over whether to become certified to dispense mifepristone, the drug used first in the typical two-step regimen for a medication abortion. The procedure, often easier and cheaper than the surgical alternative, is the option women in America most frequently choose to end pregnancies.

I can't wait to see those ladies dressed as mifepristone protesting outside their local Costco stores.

A coalition of conservative and faith-based organizations, led by the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), has been putting the pressure on the retail giant to decide against stocking the pill.

'It's a very significant win and it's one we hope to build on this coming year,' said Michael Ross, legal counsel for the corporate engagement team at ADF.

He said the group will now focus on Walgreens Boots Alliance and CVS Health Corp., which dispense mifepristone in pharmacies in states where abortion is legal. Patients in states where abortion is illegal can also get the pills through the mail in states where the procedure is not outlawed.

In a statement, Costco said its decision was based on "lack of demand from our members and other patients."

Left-wing politicians, however, think this will cost Costco lots of money. A representative for New York City Comptroller Brad Lander called the decision not to aid in the murder of babies "short-sighted."

Costco's decision to refuse to dispense mifepristone is disappointing and short-sighted. Failure to provide access to proven safe and FDA-approved medication under the guise of ‘weak demand' risks isolating customers and undermines the company's credibility.

Costco will lose credibility and isolate its customers?

What about the customers - say, the majority of American families, especially big families that like to buy deals in bulk at Costco - that would immediately cancel their memberships if the company sold murder pills?

The logic of pro-life groups, meanwhile, is that babies are good, murder is bad, and assisting in the slaughter of mass numbers of future customers is an unsound business model.
