Last year, we showed you the plight of a CVS in the capital of the most powerful and advanced civilization in world history:
Crime in this once world-class city is so wretchedly awful that at least one CVS was reduced to putting out "framed photos" of toilet paper to deter theft of the real thing:
Alas, in spite of its dogged efforts, the corporation is now calling it quits for its Columbia Heights location:
A Washington DC CVS store will close its doors after a group of sticky-fingered teens routinely ransacked the store, leaving the shelves bare.
According to Fox affiliate, WTTG-TV, the pharmacy storefront in Washington D.C's Columbia Heights neighborhood is closing on Feb. 29.
Video:
Frankly, I'm kind of amazed that they're giving it until Feb. 29.
I guess they have their reasons! The closure of the store will obviously be not great for the neighborhood, although it will also cut down on the thriving criminal enterprise that had sprung up around it.
[WTTG-TV] noticed people selling toothbrushes, men's and women's body wash, car fresheners, and laundry and cleaning supplies along the streets just steps away from the CVS.
We're at the "open-air black market" stage of progressivism, I see.
In order to survive, life for businesses in the Third-World pirate kingdom of DC now involves hiring a private police force.
Ah, the end of civilization. What a time to be alive.
