Daniel Penny, the former Marine who helped subdue a violent homeless man, Jordan Neely is being charged criminally in New York after Neely's subsequent death was ruled a homicide, following days of protests calling for Penny's head.
The Manhattan District Attorney has chosen to charge Daniel Penny, likely with manslaughter in the second degree. This could result in 15 years in prison for the Marine veteran.
According to the New York Times, Penny turned himself into the police on Friday morning.
