Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has declared Christmas Eve a day to honor Anthony Fauci.
December 24 is Fauci's birthday.
Forgive me. But proclaiming Christmas Eve, the night before we celebrate the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ -- the ultimate Light who broke into ultimate darkness -- as "Dr. Anthony S. Fauci Day," because, and I quote, "Dr. Fauci has been a shining light in dark times for the nation, promoting truth over fear and giving Americans hope in the government" ... does that not seem a little ... uhh ... religious, and not in a good way? I can think of a few other words with which to describe it, but you're already thinking them.
Christmas Eve? Really?
Birthday or not ... what are these people thinking?
In any event, Fauci looks happy about it.
