Death Valley doesn't always set records for hottest day ever recorded on earth, but when it does, it sets them at approximately 130 degrees F. That's a lot of degrees F.

There are some technicalities floating around that you can read about in the real news, but you didn't come here for real news. You came here for sensationalized news, and that's why I'm just going to go ahead and agree with the Twitter experts and say, definitively, that it really was the world record.
