"I'm worried that abortions might decrease and more babies might be saved from death so I'm going to start squirreling away every abortion pill I can find" might seem like a pathetic panic at best and a reprehensible moral failure at worst.
But as of now it is public policy in numerous blue states:
California and other blue states are rushing to stockpile abortion medication amid uncertainty at the federal level about the status of the drugs.
We reported last week about the current legal uncertainty surrounding the abortion pill in the United States:
It is sadly unsurprising that Democrats would be making moves to hoard as many abortion pills as possible. The Democratic Party is essentially the Abortion Party. Aside from transgenderism and illegal immigration, there is nothing else to which Democrats are more fanatically motivated than abortion. They live and breathe it; it is the altar they worship upon and the hill upon which they die.
And the lengths to which they're willing to go to make sure the abortion mill keeps churning is... well, wow:
Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday that California had secured 250,000 misoprostol pills and negotiated the purchase of up to 2 million.
Yes, that's 2.25 million pills, or enough to kill a million babies.
Washington, meanwhile, has purchased 40,000 doses of the drug, and Massachusetts has bought 15,000 of them.
Just abortions, abortions, abortions, as far as the eye can see. (So long as you're in a Democratic state anyway.)
