Sometimes the voices of reason can come from unexpected places. Today, Democrats who have thus far stubbornly refused to acknowledge the violent and destructive Los Angeles anti-ICE riots for what they are got a tongue-lashing from one of their own: Senator John Fetterman.
A semi-frequent source for surprisingly non-party-line takes, Senator Fetterman scolded tone-deaf Democrats who continued to maintain that the riots that saw businesses looted, vehicles burned, and police officers assaulted were simple political protests.

Fetterman's condemnation of the riots comes as Democrats such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D), former Vice President Kamala Harris, and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) have described the riots as 'peaceful protests.'
The Pennsylvania senator has broken ranks with his fellow Democrats before, notably in his vocal support for Israel's efforts against Hamas in Gaza and issues involving security along the southern U.S. border.
So, while other Democrats are releasing truly asinine statements of support for rioters openly breaking the law, it's interesting to know that at least one (admittedly brain-damaged) member of the party isn't following along.
However, we're still waiting to hear what Fetterman's weird neck lump has to say about the riots.
