DeSantis signs bill to keep lab-grown meat out of Florida ๐Ÿ’ช

This man just never stops making Florida great, does he?

Lab-grown meat, believe it or not, is actually much worse for the environment than regular meat.

So this is definitely the right move, no matter how much the lab-grown meat crowd wants it to be wrong.

Here's the scoop:

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law on Wednesday that bans the sale of lab-grown meat in the state as part of his administration's commitment to having a "vibrant agriculture industry."

Speaking at a press conference, DeSantis said that this bill was different than legislation he has signed in the past to protect the industry because this focuses on protecting it from "acts of man" that are rooted in an "ideological agenda" that wants to blame ranchers for climate change โ€ฆ

DeSantis said that policies and vision that the World Economic Forum has for the world is "dead on arrival in the state of Florida."

Again, bravo, Mr. Governor.

Here's DeSantis explaining the true motives of the WEF and organizations like it:

They want to basically eliminate meat. They want to eliminate cattle, they want to eliminate chickens, all this stuff, and they want to create protein in laboratories. So it's essentially lab-created meat, and their goal is to get to a point where you will not be raising cattle, or you will not be developing meat like we've been doing for hundreds and hundreds of years in the state of Florida.

So it's not just a question of oh well, they want to put this out there on the market, and some people like it, they can do it. That's not really what they're going for. Because they know, if that was put out there to compete with normal beef, that they would lose. So what they want to do is put that out there and then say, 'Wait a minute, you can do this in a lab, you don't need to do cattle... so why don't you just phase that out?' That is ultimately the goal.

(I wonder what comes first, the meat ban or the lab-grown meat acceptance. Hard to tell.)

Anyhow, here's DeSantis' message to the WEF:

Love that guy!!

And I love how he stole the World Economic Forum's logo for his "Save Our Beef" campaign.

Okay, well, I don't live in Florida, so I'm off to bulk buy a bunch of meat for the freezer before they ban it!
