Did Hallmark create this Christmas movie character in order to mock Matt Walsh? You be the judge.

Hallmark is one of the great socially incisive production companies of the age, the modern-day successor to Orson Welles, a true visionary when it comes to trenchant commentary and — okay okay that's as far as I can take that joke.

Anyway, it's October, which means it's already Christmas movie season over at Hallmark. And a character in one of their latest productions might look...slightly familiar to you:

Hmm. There's certainly more than a passing resemblance there. And Matt himself seems to think there's some sort of homage thing going on here.
