Glad to see cooler heads are prevailing in the public school syst—Oh, nevermind.

This clip comes courtesy of yesterday's Alexandria City Public Schools board meeting. And as anyone who has had the displeasure of being on a Zoom call with a school board during Covid can attest, it brought two heaping scoops of fear-mongering hysterics.

"Do you want your child to be alive or to be educated?"

I believe this is what's called "a false dichotomy."

And just SO much subtext to her statement...

Don't you love your kids? Wouldn't you do anything to protect them?? Why take the risk???

And what they really want to say, "You're a bad parent for wanting your kid to get the education you paid for with your tax dollars even though there's a virus that has a 1 in a bazillion chance of harming children!"
