Don't Say Gay: Warner Brothers Decides To Remove Gay Dialogue From Fantastic Beasts Movie For Chinese Release

Hollywood is just so woke and brave!

They are totally our moral betters and their stunning bravery needs to be recognized.

Here are the hosts of Hollywood's Academy Award taking on DeSantis and Florida for passing the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

So stunning. So brave.

When it comes to standing up for gay rights, Hollywood will proudly say "gay."

Unless they're trying to sell a movie in China:

Warner Brothers is looking to release their 3rd "Fantastic Beasts" Harry Potter spinoff, but in order to release it in China, the company has LITERALLY chosen to not say gay.

Warner Bros. accepted China's request to remove six seconds from the movie. The dialogue lines "because I was in love with you" and "the summer Gellert and I fell in love" were cut from "The Secrets of Dumbledore" release (via News.com.au). The rest of the film remained intact, including an understanding that Dumbledore and Grindelwald share an intimate bond.

If you're keeping track, telling teachers in Florida that they can't talk to preschoolers about sex is an attack on gay people, but China telling a movie to cut out a gay storyline is totally cool.

"As a studio, we're committed to safeguarding the integrity of every film we release, and that extends to circumstances that necessitate making nuanced cuts in order to respond sensitively to a variety of in-market factors," Warner Bros. said in a statement to Variety. "Our hope is to release our features worldwide as released by their creators but historically we have faced small edits made in local markets."

"In the case of ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,' a six-second cut was requested and Warner Bros. accepted those changes to comply with local requirements but the spirit of the film remains intact," the statement added. "We want audiences everywhere in the world to see and enjoy this film, and it's important to us that Chinese audiences have the opportunity to experience it as well, even with these minor edits."

This is absolutely perfect.

They are admitting that the gay storyline has NOTHING to do with the plot. It's just stuck in there to be woke. So it doesn't matter if they remove it from the film since it's not actually important.

Once again, these woke social justice Hollywood types show us who they truly are.

I can't wait to see Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes stand up and denounce China.

But I'm not holding my breath.
