Southern Florida has just endured a particularly punishing beating from a massive tropical system that blew through over Friday:

Portions of South Florida were experiencing the impacts from Potential Tropical Cyclone One from major rainfall across the area.

The National Weather Service reports 11 inches of rain fell over the downtown Miami as of 9 a.m. Saturday. South Miami has record just over nine and a half inches while Kendall recorded nearly seven and a half inches.

The system was no joke. Here it is after working its way across Florida and heading out into the Atlantic:
