Drag queen makes show where grownup Cindy Lou is a Grinch who hates families and Christ

I've started to think the phrase "they said the quiet part out loud" is losing some of its pertinence. I'm not sure there is a "quiet part" anymore.

Take drag queen Miz Cracker, who starred on Ru Pual's Drag Race.

In a new show Who's Holiday!, Miz Cracker plays an alcoholic, drug-addicted, promiscuous adult Cindy Lou Who who hates Christmas, Christ, and families.

Yes, that's right. In this story, Cindy Lou Who grew up to be worse than the Grinch.

Cracker says,

To say that Christmas is about traditional values or values of any kind anymore is pretty ridiculous. Christ is nowhere featured in this. In America, if you look at the way people knock down the doors of shopping centres, I think you can tell that we have separated Christmas from Christ.

I think any opportunity that we have to kick down traditional family values is welcomed. The way of thinking about family is old and tired and we need to reinvent it.

I think that Who's Holiday! does that. It makes fun of family and I think it talks about chosen family and talks about the friends that really matter and what it means to have them in your life. So yeah, f*** family.

Five years ago, this would have been shocking, but now it feels like it's just par for the course for our hedonistic Christ-hating nation.

Everybody's doing it.

If Cracker wanted to be really out there on the edge of entertainment, he'd lose the wig and make-up, and start promoting family values and Christianity like Candace Cameron Burke and her traditional-family-values Christmas movies.
