When your truck is stopped on the tracks, you gotta stay frosty. Don't sleep on it:
An oblivious trucker was just feet away from death when he stopped his 18-wheeler on a railroad crossing in front of a speeding train, which crashed into the truck, turning the white big rig into a pile of debris.
The wreck occurred around 10:30 Wednesday morning in the village of Versailles, Ohio when the semi-truck stopped on the West St crossing of the CSX railway as the safety barrier was lowering, the Village of Versailles Ohio EMS said in a statement on Facebook.
For real: Was this guy deaf? Did he not hear the horn blaring as it neared his vehicle?
All of us watching that:
The dude was so casual with it!
Thankfully the driver was okay, and apparently everyone on the train was as well. Versailles reported both a fuel spill from the truck as well as a damaged engine on the train.
When it comes to railroad crossings, remember the old maxim: Hit the brake, don't get pancaked!
