Duke University just dropped the longest gay acronym I've ever seen
· Mar 22, 2022 · NottheBee.com

Yo, we just hit 12 characters in the ever-increasing gay acronym!

I'm not joking. This is real.

Here's a link to DUKE UNIVERSITY'S website where this can be found.

Duke University!

Man, I feel like we ought to start telling kids to stay out of school rather than encouraging them to stay in.

So what we got here? Let's see…

My goodness, that's a lot of different categories of gay people!

Okay, I know the first four: "lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans." The OGs.

The two ‘Q's there are a bit confusing (maybe that's the point), but they stand for "questioning" and "queer" in that order. Queer people apparently don't conform to heterosexual norms, which is what makes them so special.

These new ones throw me off though. We got "intersex," which means people who have both male and female sex organs or characteristics.

Okay, fair enough.

Next is "pansexual," which means you're into all kinds of people, no matter which of the 2,389 genders they are.

Cool.

Apparently the ‘2' and the ‘S' are together here, and they represent "two-spirited" people. Again, this is someone who is both masculine and feminine (seeing a lot of this). Somehow 2S is a shout out to Indigenous People, but I'm not going to get into that.

The two ‘A's stand for "Androgynous" and "Asexual." Once again, we have a feminine/masculine group with androgynous people. I'm just saying, a few of these groups could be consolidated.

And I'm sorry, but "asexual" honestly just doesn't seem like it belongs here. Isn't the whole idea of the LGBT community to explore sexuality?

Get out of here, Asexuals!

Okay, I'll leave you with this beautiful Babylon Bee headline because it's perfect:

Yup, we're getting there!

Big thanks to Duke University for providing this unusually lengthy acronym!

Though if I were a furry, I'd be kinda upset.

Like, where's the 'F' bro?!?!
