Over the weekend, multi-billionaire Twitter owner Elon Musk decided to make the move and officially rebrand the bird site.
In a string of Tweets last night, Elon Musk announced that he would be moving away from the Twitter logo and name, instead opting for his preferred social media/all-of-the-above website: X.
Elon even held a contest.
And that's exactly what he did. People submitted all sorts of X logos, with guidance from Musk...
And eventually, he chose his favorite.
Elon liked it so much, he even worked it out to project the brand new logo onto the side of Twitter HQ:
Instead of the iconic blue Twitter bird at the top of the homepage, users are now greeted with a futuristic-looking letter "X."
At least that's what it looks like from the desktop view.
The site will now be known as "X: The Site Formerly Known As Twitter."
Or, just X.
I'll be honest, this is going to take some getting used to.
What do y'all think? Are we fans of the new brand or should Musk have stuck to the classics?
