NYC's Eric Adams Caves, Says He Will Now Grant Exception Allowing Kyrie Irving And Other Unvaxxed Athletes To Play
· Mar 24, 2022 · NottheBee.com

After enduring weeks of criticism for his insane vaccine policy, which banned NBA star Kyrie Irving from playing but allowed Irving to attend games unmasked, NYC Mayor Eric Adams has finally caved.

Adams will now make an exception to his rule on unvaxxed employees in New York City being allowed to work.

"The city has to function"?

What an absolute joke.

The city has been shut down for two years under DeBlasio and Adams, and they have done all they can to keep the lockdowns going and force workers to get vaccinated and now because Kyrie Irving exposed his idiotic policies, now "the city has to function."

Here's more of Adams' ridiculous statement:

Today I signed emergency Executive Order 62, expanding the performance exemption to private employer mandates. This is about putting New York City based performance on a level playing field. Day one when I was mayor, I looked at the rule that stated ‘home town players had an unfair disadvantage to those who we're coming to visit.'

And immediately, I felt that we needed to look at that. But my medical professionals said, ‘Eric, we're at a different place. We have to wait until we're at a place we're at a low area and we can re-examine some of the mandates.' We're here today.

Yes, the science has changed! Now Kyrie can play basketball!

Thanks so much science!

I'm sure it's all because of science and not the fact that baseball is about to start and the Yankee's star baseball player Aaron Judge would be under the same rules as Kyrie.

The Kyrie ban was ridiculous, but if Adams banned Aaron Judge there would legitimately be riots.

The bad news, of course, is that Adams policy is only making an exception for athletes. Everyone else working in the city still has to be vaxxed.

However, more good news might be on the way because this exception puts the legitimacy of the policy as a whole at risk.

But I'm sure the science will change before Adams gets embarrassed again.
