Filmmakers put up billboards in Pennsylvania and Ohio to promote movie showing the horrors of "transing" kids

Billboards are old technology, but they still work: It's very hard to miss an eye-catching marquee as you're driving down the highway.

Big credit to these filmmakers for recognizing that and using it to promote an important film:

The artists cite the example of Mildred Hayes, the character from "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," who "puts up three roadside signs to prod [the local] police chief to find her daughter's killer:

As the makers of "Dead Name," a new documentary film about the gender ideology targeting our children, we've taken a page from Mildred by using four two-sided digital billboards in Pennsylvania and Ohio to promote our movie through year's end.

Why? Because we want to be heard. We want to prod ordinary folks to do a double take when they see this bold question along the roadside: "Has This Happened to Your Child?" ...

The film debuted last December on Vimeo and is made by filmmaker Taylor Reece, with contributions from various contributors such as Brandon Showalter, a senior investigative reporter with Christian Post.

Motorists who are curious enough about the film and who head to the website to check it out can see a trailer for it. And it's a rough one, as it must be.

The filmmakers, meanwhile, hope their billboard effort goes beyond the film itself:

At the very least, we're hoping people will ask questions, seek clarity, scratch their heads, wonder what it is they don't know.

Let's hope we see people trying to figure it out. So many kids' lives depend upon it.
