Florida is preparing for a new wave of refugees from blue states after Democrat success continues

Ron DeSantis has a successful and growing state in Florida and his success is making Florida an attractive destination for disaffected conservatives.

This has been going on for years, but after Tuesday's disappointing results, Florida is preparing for more conservative refugees to flee their blue states.

From the New York Post:

Continuing years of scorching population growth, Florida is bracing for a fresh batch of disgruntled citizens fed up with spiraling crime and high taxes to move in from Democratic strongholds.

Figures obtained by The Post show that through August, a record 41,885 New Yorkers already swapped their licenses for the Florida version, a commonly used indicator of demographic trends. That figure was 21,277 for California, 16,970 for Pennsylvania and 16,846 for Illinois.

Sunshine State observers said after Tuesday saw Democratic leaders re-elected or voted in — coupled with Gov. Ron DeSantis's landslide entrenchment — they expect the exodus to Florida will continue.

I mean, who can blame them?

Would you rather live in a state that just elected "crime is a conspiracy" Kathy Hochul, or the most successful state in the nation with a governor who has fought for the rights of all his citizens?

This is a no-brainer.

"People are leaving these states for a lot of different reasons," said Laura Gambino of One Sotheby's International in Palm Beach.

"Crime, quality of life, taxes. I think with the elections going the way they did, the trend is going to continue.

"It's good for us, for the state and its economy. It's not so good for states that were already losing people."

The good news for Florida is that the New Yorkers who are fleeing blue states ARE NOT bringing their liberal politics with them.

DeSantis turning a close race 4 years ago into a blowout makes it seem like new Florida residents are largely red voters fleeing to a place where they are welcomed.

There's a great sort underway.

Conservatives are moving to conservative states while the blue voters are staying put and continuing to vote for their failed policies.
