A family in Titusville, Florida, was recently surprised to find a police officer knocking at their front door. Their minds were quickly put at ease when the officer informed them that she was only there to deliver some groceries after arresting their delivery driver.

Watch the interaction on their Ring doorbell camera:

To protect AND SERVE, right?

The delivery driver was wanted on felony charges in both Florida and Texas, and police spotted his license plate number while he was out on the delivery. After confirming his identity, they placed him under arrest, but not without noticing the Aldi bags in the backseat!

Not wanting the groceries to go to waste, the police officers took a quick detour on their way to the police station to deliver the groceries to their intended destination.

Joe Neu, who ordered the groceries, said the Titusville police department went above and beyond in both protecting and serving the community, adding that,

My dad was a police officer when I was growing up, so I have the utmost respect for them, so when I saw that, it was wonderful to see.
