Get your Mike Tyson jokes ready, folks, cuz some teenager on spring break in Fort Myers, Florida, is being accused of biting off a man's ear in a beach brawl.
And this was no Evander Holyfield, it was apparently some gay black dude who was being berated with racial slurs from the teenager pictured above. The two apparently know each other, and according to the Lee County police report, the ear-hungry teenager came up behind him and punched him shortly after exchanging words.
With the St. Patrick's Day crowd asking the black man if he was going to just sit there and take it, the man rose to the challenge and fought the kid, who proceeded to bite off part of his ear. Police were quickly flagged down.
From the police report:
Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim identified as Juwan Black. Black advised he was involved in a physical altercation and a portion of his left ear had been bitten off. Deputy James confirmed Black suffering a traumatic auricular amputation of his left ear from a bite. Black was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital for further treatment.
A video of the incident was observed while on scene. The video was captured by a bystander of the altercation. The video depicted Black laying face down in the sand with the suspect, Jack Turner ... mounting his back. Turner is seen striking Black in the back of the head with a balled fist. Turner then grabs Black by the hair on the back of his head pressing it in the sand. Turner followed by pulled Black's head upward as he brought his face toward the left side of Black's head. At that time it appears Turner bit Black's ear causing the traumatic auricular amputation.
Yup…
This qualifies as felony battery, and the 18-year-old Tyson wannabe has been booked on the charges.
And now hear me out: All I'm saying is part of this kid's punishment should be a requirement to speak with a lisp for the rest of his life.
