Former President George W. Bush: “The decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq. I mean of Ukraine.”

During an event at the George W. Bush Presidential Center at Southern Methodist University on Wednesday, the former president accidently mixed up his invasion of Iraq with Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine, calling the Iraq War "unjustified and brutal."

President Bush paused, chuckled, and corrected himself then he shrugged and mumbled, "Well, Iraq too," before blaming the gaffe on his age. He's 75, just a little younger than the current gaffer-in-chief.

According to the Dallas News, Bush also spent a bit of time praising Ukranian leader Volodyer Zelensky, comparing him to Winston Churchill defending Britain against Adolf Hitler. He also described him as a "cool little guy," so there's that too.

Other speakers at the event included Jon Meacham and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Both spent a fair amount of time talking about the January 6th protests at the Capitol and how awful former President Trump was. Rice said,

I cried on Jan. 6, because I thought to myself: I study countries who do this, I don't live in a country who does this.

And Meacham compared Trump to Harry Potter's villain, Lord Voldemort. Though I don't think Trump has the hair to play Voldemort… maybe Ron Weasley?

Anyway, much like this article, the event was full of nervous laughter…
