Arizona Governor Doug Ducey went on an absolute tear on Wednesday, signing into law all sorts of conservative proposals.

While the entire Left is focused on DeSantis and Florida, Governor Ducey is quietly passing legislation in Arizona which would dramatically change the landscape of the state, protect elections, protect girls' sports, and protect life.
Ducey released a statement addressing the bills signed into law and it's clear that his priorities when it comes to his home state are definitely in order.
Today I signed S.B. 1138 and S.B. 1165, legislation to protect participation and fairness for female athletes, and to ensure that individuals undergoing irreversible gender reassignment surgery are of adult age. This legislation is common-sense and narrowly-targeted to address these two specific issues โ โ while ensuring that transgender individuals continue to receive the same dignity, respect and kindness as every individual in our society.
The bills prevent males from competing against females in sports, and it prevents children from getting reproductive surgery until they are legal adults.
The law does not, however, ban the prescription of puberty blockers and other hormonal therapies, but it is definitely a good first step.
More from the statement:
Continuing Arizona's commitment to protecting preborn children, the Governor also signed S.B. 1164, sponsored by Sen. Nancy Barto. The bill prohibits a physician from performing an abortion past 15 weeks gestation, except in a medical emergency.
"In Arizona, we know there is immeasurable value in every life โ including preborn life," said Governor Ducey in a letter. "I believe it is each state's responsibility to protect them."
Physicians who perform an abortion in violation of this statute and in a non-medical emergency, are subject to be charged with a class 6 felony and if convicted, will have their license suspended or revoked.
Women who received an abortion after 15 weeks may not be prosecuted.
This bill directly targets and punishes doctors for performing abortions after 15 weeks.
Ducey also signed an election integrity measure that would require proof of American citizenship to vote in elections, a very important cause, especially in a border state.
It's good to see some Republicans, outside of Florida, Utah, and Indiana, that are still ruling in line with common sense.
