Every Christmas, police in various cities around the world ceremonially "arrest" the Grinch when he tries to "steal Christmas."
But sometimes there are instances when the arrests are real, like this video from the municipality of Aguascalientes in Mexico, where both the Grinch and Santa got arrested after fighting over tip money.
Apparently, people were tipping the Grinch more than Santa, and Santa became mad at the green villain, which led to the fight.
Santa, as you can see, was down on the ground receiving medical attention. Meanwhile, the Grinch was being led away in handcuffs.
Eventually, police took Santa away too.
Both characters were arrested for disturbing public order. However, while they were taken to the Public Ministry, Santa Claus and the Grinch continued to argue, which further increased the tension and laughter among those present.
Not everyone was amused by the fighting though.
While some highlighted the absurdity of the moment, others expressed concern about the scene witnessed by young children. 'It is possible for them to not fight like this in such a special season,' said an upset father who was present with his family.
Personally, I would love to see a Santa vs. The Grinch brawl become a new Christmas tradition.
