Check this out: The Harris campaign kicked a Muslim man out of a Michigan event for no apparent reason.
That's former Democratic candidate Dr. Ahmed Ghanim, and he was given no explanation as to why he got kicked out.
I was actually sitting answering some emails on my phone. I was not even engaged in any conversation with anyone. Someone, a lady, came to me and said, ‘Can you follow me please.' And when we went to the door I found two police officers waiting for me there and threatening me if I don't leave they will put me in the back of the police car.
I realize the daughter of Dick Cheney was co-hosting this event with Kamala Harris, but they still shouldn't have kicked this Muslim man out. 😆
The man was invited to the event via email:
But he apparently wasn't welcomed by the Harris campaign, and was kicked out before the VP even took the stage.
On Tuesday, officials from the Council on American-Islamic Relations held a press conference to address the issue.
‘Today we call for an investigation and we call for an apology to Dr. Ahmed Ghanim,' said Basim Elkarra, who works as the director for an out-of-state chapter of CAIR.
