Here's a compelling case for the positive influence of Christian civilization from ... Richard Dawkins?

Alright, go ahead and put this on the list of things I didn't expect to see today.

Richard Dawkins, who doesn't want anyone anywhere to be a Christian, thinks that if we lose Christianity from our culture completely then civilization might be lost.

This is Dawkins talking about England and the celebration of Ramadan over Easter.

I sort of fell at home in the Christian ethos. I feel that we are a Christian country in that sense. It's true that statistically the number of people who believe in Christianity is going down, and I'm happy with that, but I would not be happy if, for example, we lost all our cathedrals and our beautiful parish churches. So I count myself a cultural Christian. I think it would matter if we, certainly if we substituted any alternative religion, that would be truly dreadful.

Well, would you look at that?

WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT?

Mr. New Atheist and Mr. "All religion is evil and awful and Christianity is evil" has come around to a little bit of a reality check.

Dawkins is starting to see a world void of Christ and he does not like what he sees.

He's coming around to the reality that all honest atheists come to: Without Christianity, the world would plunge into chaos and disorder. That's the first step, realizing that Christianity is good and useful. He's still a long way from the truth, which is that Christianity is TRUE...

But he's on his way.

Dawkins has for years said that he's "culturally Christian."

But you can't have Christian culture without actual Christians, and you can't have Christians without Christ.

If you "don't believe a single word of the Christian faith," but you love the civilization produced by that faith, then you are a man who loves a beautiful building but hates the foundation of the building that makes the entire structure possible. Talk about being illogical!

What you're seeing happen in this video is what God said He would do in that book Dawkins doesn't believe in:

I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.

I pray Dawkins will come around to see what so many have come to understand, including those who built his country:

It's Christ or chaos.
