Hollywood's Lionsgate Studio just reimplemented a mask mandate for one of their main offices 🤦‍♂️

Guys, it's 2023. How are we still doing this?

A major Hollywood studio, Lionsgate, just sent an email out to its employees stating that it is bringing back the mask mandate.

The policy change was announced internally by Sommer McElroy, Response Manager for Lionsgate/Starz, in an email, a copy of which was obtained by Deadline. Implemented in response to several employees recently testing positive for Covid, it involves a mandatory mask mandate effective immediately and until further notice for the 3rd and 5th floors of the five-story building, the email said...

"Employees must wear a medical grade face covering (surgical mask, KN95 or N95) when indoors except when alone in an office with the door closed, actively eating, actively drinking at their desk or workstation, or if they are the only individual present in a large open workspace," McElroy said in the memo.

I have a few questions.

Who at Lionsgate, at this point, hasn't got the jab? Why is Lionsgate still employing a "Response Manager" whose job is, apparently, to implement pointless protocols related to the Wuhan Flu?

Why does everyone in LA still seem to think masks do anything to prevent Covid?

It's like Californians are living in an alternate reality.

And it gets even worse. Beyond the insane mask policies, employees are going back to the days of "self-screening." Remember how if you had any cold symptoms everyone thought you had Covid and you had to sit out of work for a while? They're doing it again.

In another throwback to the early years of the pandemic, every Lionsgate employee is required to perform a daily self-screening prior to coming to the office each day and must notify McElroy and stay home if exhibiting any symptoms or have traveled internationally in the last 10 days. The latter would impact a number of a people, coming in the middle of summer vacation season.

This one studio let this one wannabe dictator stay employed, and as soon as she had the chance, she went right back to the insane, inhuman, draconian policies we had all throughout 2020.

If you don't think there are thousands of Sommer McElroys in this country that are champing at the bit to lock down again, you've got another thing coming.

Boy am I glad Hollywood is on strike right now. Let them stay that way forever.
