Closing arguments in the Daniel Penny trial were held on Monday. The 26-year-old Marine vet is facing charges of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in the death of 30-year-old Jordan Neely.
Penny's defense says he was "the one to protect" NYC subway riders on the day of Jordan Neely's death. The prosecutor in the case calls him "the white man" who "didn't recognize that Jordan Neely was a person."
This is that prosecutor:
New York City's finest right there!
You had to know they'd go and get one of the wokest people imaginable to prosecute Penny, a white ex-Marine who protected people on the subway by putting an aggressive Jordan Neely in a chokehold. Neely would later die, and it's up to the jury to decide whether or not this chokehold was the cause of Neely's death.
A little comparison to another case here: Dafna Yoran once reduced the sentence for a black man who killed an 87-year-old professor at an ATM for $300. She did this under the guise of "restorative justice."
Here's the guy she helped:
Lee was charged with manslaughter instead of felony murder, reducing his potential sentence from 25 years to life to 10 years.
Here's what she had to say during closing arguments on Monday in the Daniel Penny trial:
'He didn't recognize that Jordan Neely was a person,' Manhattan prosecutor Dafna Yoran told the jury. 'He saw him as a person that needed to be eliminated.'
She claimed that Penny 'was so reckless with Neely's life because he didn't seem to recognize his humanity.' She replayed video of Penny's police interrogation, where he referred to Neely as a 'crackhead' and told detectives, 'You know these guys, they're pushing people in front of trains and stuff.'
'We've all spoken dismissively about people like Jordan Neely,' she said. 'Maybe we, too, have lumped them all together like this, but the context is very telling here. When the defendant is talking like this about Mr. Neely, he knows he very likely had killed him. Can you imagine a reasonable person speaking like this about a human being that he or she had just killed?'
Oh, did I mention Dafna Yoran is a lesbian?
Here's her wife:
Of course the New York City prosecutor assigned to the Daniel Penny case is an anti-racist lesbian married to a feminist artist.
Of course she is!
