None of us want to jump the gun and get out ahead of what is sure to be an insane presidential election season, but if we had to guess, we'd estimate that President Joe Biden might be considering dropping out.

Look at this:

Yes, they're looking into Kamala's chances against Donald Trump!

Under siege from fellow Democrats, President Biden's campaign is quietly testing the strength of Vice President Kamala Harris against former President Donald J. Trump in a head-to-head survey of voters, as Mr. Biden fights for his political future with a high-stakes news conference on Thursday.

The Biden camp thinking of sending Kamala headfirst into the fight like:

Seriously, folks, this is a campaign in desperation mode. Their president is the living embodiment of a mumble, donors are fleeing en masse, and prominent party members are openly begging the president to leave office.

In their extreme hopelessness, the campaign is seriously considering putting Kamala Harris in a matchup against Donald Trump.

And there really does seem to be a pathetic consensus growing that this would actually be a good idea:

While some of Mr. Biden's top aides have quietly argued that Ms. Harris could not win the election, donors and other outside supporters of the vice president believe she might be in a stronger position after the debate, and could be a more energetic communicator of the party's message.

Bottom line: They run Biden, Trump wins; they run Kamala, we laugh our butts off and Trump still wins.
